About SCTC
The San Carlos Tennis Club was organized in 1975 and promotes social activities related to tennis in the mid-Peninsula area. It had 553 members in the 2003 membership year. The Club organizes regular social and competitive tournaments and runs a variety of tennis ladders. It coordinates tennis drop-ins where interested players can simply show up at designated times to play with others. The Club arranges numerous social events, including a well-attended holiday party every December. The Club’s honors include being named Northern California USTA Community Tennis Association of the Year in 1998, being named Northern California USTA Organization of the Year in 1999, receiving the Northern California USTA Community Tennis Association Web-Site of the Year award in 2003 and receiving a Sponsor Citation Award from the California Park and Recreation Society in 2004. The Club is an active participant in the community and has made numerous grants to the tennis court facilities where its members play.
